যৌবনেরই দ্রাক্ষারসে জীবন সখি ছন্দ পাক।
সময়-পাখি যাবেই উড়ে বসে থেকে লাভ তো নাই
তারচেয়ে বরং সুরার নেশায় আনন্দেতেই সময় যাক।

শত শত পুষ্প ফুটে এই ধরাতে নিশিদিন
সকলই তার যায় ঝরে যায়, রূপ হয় যে ফিকে-মলিন
গ্রীষ্মকালের প্রথম মাসে ফুটে যে ফুল গোলাপ লাল
জামশেদ আর কায়কোবাদ দুজন সেটাও করে নেয় অধীন।
